The Age Group Average Problem is as follows :
Question :
The average age of 10 members of a committee is the same as it was 4 years ago, because an old member has been replaced by a young member. Find out how much younger is that new member ?
Solution :
Now to solve this sum, there are many complicated ways But Ill show you the simplest one
We know that since there are 10 members, after 4 yrs each of them gets 4 yrs older. Hence the group combined, has aged 40 yrs. Hence,
If the new member has to keep the average the same as 4 yrs ago, he should be 40 yrs younger than the member he is replacing 😉
Hence the answer is 40 yrs
